AICEP – The Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal launches a new international campaign to promote the Fashion Section to communicate the Portuguese sustainable fashion offer.

LISBON, Portugal, November 8, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — The main objective of the campaign is to affirm Portugal as a country that creates sustainable, innovative and designer fashion. The campaign also aims to promote and strengthen the competitiveness of companies and the affirmation of Portugal as a country of technological and innovative solutions.

The diversity of knowledge, the search for eco-sustainable solutions, such as the use of new materials and more environmentally friendly production methods and processes, have sustained the evolution of the creative process of Portuguese talent, allowing a Portuguese vision of the world of the most eclectic, modern and urban fashion.

With the support of the brand “MADE IN PORTUGAL naturally”, the campaign is signed “Sustainable fashion. In Portugal, nothing is lost. Everything is transformed, naturally.” and is mainly oriented towards the markets of Spain and France.

The campaign presents a promotional video that illustrates the creative capacity and Portuguese talent, highlighting the sophistication of the Portuguese offer, anchored in traditional techniques and recyclable materials. All campaign support is available on the website portugalglobal.pt/portugalnaturally where you can also access a company directory, promoting direct contact with the national offer, promoting alliances and Portuguese businesses.

The campaign was designed in order to promote, in an integrated manner, different sectors of the Fashion Section, such as Readymade Textiles, Footwear, Leather Goods and Jewelry, highlighting their differentiation and sophistication, motivating the curiosity of international prescribers about the unique and exclusive solutions of the Portuguese offer.

The Fashion Section consists of eight sectors, with emphasis on clothing, footwear, leather goods and jewelry. With a turnover of more than 9.6 billion euros in 2021, representing 9.4 percent of the volume of the national manufacturing industry, the Fashion Section is made up of a total of 14,657 companies, mostly family SMEs, and employs to more than 163,000 workers. Clothing and footwear represent the majority of companies and workers. With a strong commitment to Research and Development and design, the companies in the Section offer an integrated offer.

The campaign, in a completely digital format, aims to surprise the international public, valuing the authenticity, competitiveness and excellence of Portuguese fashion products.
