The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, announced this Monday protests in the squares of the provincial capitals throughout Spain to express his rejection of the Amnesty Law. As he has stressed, they are not going to be “silenced” or “intimidated” in the face of Pedro Sánchez’s negotiations with the independentists to be sworn in as president of the Government.
“Sánchez and his partners are perpetrating the greatest attack on the rule of law, on the equality of Spaniards and on the institutions. And they want us to remain silent. And they want us to swallow,” Feijóo proclaimed in his speech before the National Board of Directors of the PP , the highest body of the party between congresses.
That said, he has made it clear that they are not going to be silenced and will take to the streets. “We are going to respond with more unity to the majority union of Spanish society. They want us to forget, but we are going to remember it every day,” she warned.
The leader of the PP has indicated that “whether there is a Government or not”, there will continue to be “a united Spain in the face of all of Sánchez’s abuses.” “You can try to market with all the institutions and with all the money of the Spanish people, but you will never be able to buy freedom, dignity and you will never be able to buy Spanish society,” he emphasized.
