This Sunday night, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked numerous positions of the Lebanese Shiite militia party Hezbollah, supported by Iran, in southern Lebanon.

According to suspicions, the cell was planning to fire an anti-tank missile at a peaceful area. This attack is the fifth against an apparent terrorist cell. Hezbollah that the IDF attacks today in southern Lebanon,” they reported on their website.

Previously, the Israeli Army had already announced several attacks against Hezbollah positions throughout a day in which both sides have been engaged in border skirmishes.

For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had threatened to turn Lebanon into the scene of a “devastating” war if Hezbollah intensified its attacks against the IDF to the point of turning them into a full-fledged confrontation.

Hezbollah has raised the death toll to 21 after two new casualties this Sunday morning among its ranks due to the impact of Israeli rockets in the south of the country and in the Bekaa Valley.
