Allocates more than 600 million to strengthen the eastern flank of NATO

The United States authorities have announced this Friday that they will deliver a new military aid package to Ukraine valued at 3,000 million dollars (about 2,800 million euros), of which 682 million (563 million euros) will be destined to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank.
The White House spokeswoman, Karine Jean Pierre, has indicated that the financing destined for the eastern flank will help regional partners “replenish their military equipment,” according to a statement from the US Presidency.
Thus, he stressed that these funds are part of a record package of military aid delivered by the United States since the beginning of the Russian invasion of the territory.
In addition, he has pointed out that the new military aid will include combat vehicles and surface-to-air missiles, in addition to 225 million dollars (about 211 million euros) destined for the “creation of long-term capacities and the modernization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.
