MADRID, 15 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku will miss the World Cup in Qatar after suffering a left knee injury during training this Tuesday with the French team and after an action with Real Madrid player Eduardo Camavinga.

“Christopher Nkunku will not participate in the World Cup. The RB Leipzig striker left training this Tuesday before the end with an injured left knee. Unfortunately, radiological examinations carried out at night revealed that it was a sprain”, confirmed the French Football Federation (FFF).

The organization indicated that “a medical file has been sent to FIFA”, since it is a regulatory requirement for the replacement of an injured player in the call since it presented the list on Monday at 7:00 p.m. before the world soccer governing body.

“The name of Christopher Nkunku’s replacement will be communicated once FIFA has validated the medical history. The entire group shares Christopher’s sadness and wishes him a speedy recovery,” the federation concluded.

In this way, Didier Deschamps loses one of his offensive pieces, who, although he did not start as a possible starter in his eleven, did arrive in very good shape after scoring a total of 17 goals this season with RB Leipzig.
