Elche will have a new opportunity to achieve their first win of the season against Valladolid in Zorrilla

MADRID, 4 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Getafe hosts Cádiz this Saturday (2:00 p.m.) on matchday 13 of LaLiga Santander, a duel in which both teams will seek to confirm their improvement in recent weeks, while Elche faces the umpteenth opportunity to achieve the long-awaited first victory of the season against Valladolid (16.15) and Carlos Carvalhal’s new Celta debuts (18.30) against an Osasuna that aspires to Europe.

The Coliseum will live this Saturday the last match before the break for the Qatar World Cup, a duel against Cádiz, a team from the lower zone -penultimate with 10 points-, and therefore a direct rival for the goal of permanence. The Andalusians arrive pushed by the victory (3-2) in extremis over Atlético de Madrid at the Nuevo Mirandilla, after 14 games without beating the rojiblancos.

Sergio González’s team finally reaped the fruits of the good work done in the previous weeks, in which victory eluded them (4 draws and 1 loss). Winning the three points at the Coliseum, where they won two seasons ago (0-1), would allow them to have a chance of getting out of relegation before the World Cup, and arrive with high morale and confidence at the complicated game at the Santiago Bernabéu in the next day. For the Coliseum, Momo is doubtful, but Iza Carcelén and Rubén Alcaraz return.

Getafe, somewhat more relieved -fourteenth with 13 points-, also due to the victory (0-1) on the last date against Elche, arrives at this crucial duel for their aspirations to remain in the First Division, linking four games without losing. Winning would mean stringing together two wins in a row, something that the ‘blue’ team has only achieved once this year, and consolidating themselves in the ‘quiet’ area of ??the table.

“Cádiz’s will be an important game for the future of the competition,” said Quique Sánchez Flores, aware of the relevance of the match, while hoping that his team’s performance will improve at home – they only have one win at the Coliseum -. For this, the coach will have the casualties of Angileri and Arambarri, injured, in addition to that of Jordan Amaví, sanctioned. Damián Suárez, with an overload in the hamstrings, is doubtful.

At 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Celta, after the dismissal of Coudet and with the Portuguese Carvalhal on the bench, will face the visit of an Osasuna in a state of happiness. The ‘rojillos’ link three undefeated games, a positive streak that places them in a privileged position in the table. Those from Pamplona are seventh with 20 points, one from the Conference, two from the Europa League and three from the Champions League.

A victory would allow Osasuna to prolong the best dynamic of the course and add four duels without losing. However, Arrasate is missing Abde Ezzalzouli, Kike Saverio and Sergio Herrera, with physical problems in his knee, which have already prevented him from playing against Real Valladolid. Nor will his story in Balaídos be in his favor, where he has not won since September 2006.

This Saturday will be the first meeting of Carlos Carvalhal on the bench of the light blue team, with the difficult task of recovering the positive feelings and jovial spirit of a gray team during this start. Five games without winning is the slab that the Portuguese will have to lift, whose first line-up is unknown. In their Portuguese adventure, the scheme with three central defenders was very common, so Mingueza, Aidoo and Núñez point to the headlines.

Solari, Hugo Mallo and Luca de la Torre, injured, and Gabri Veiga, sanctioned, are not in their first call. Even so, Carvalhal confirmed in his first appearance that “there will not be many changes” with respect to the Coudet model, of which he wants to maintain “the matrix of the team in terms of aggressiveness and attitude.”

Finally, Elche visits (4:15 p.m.) Real Valladolid with the mission of finally getting out of the dark well, already more than worrying, in which it is still installed, still without winning. The ilicitanos ‘threw’ another opportunity to engage in the fight to get out of relegation, something that seems more complicated with each passing day.

The franjiverdes lost at home (0-1) against Getafe, in a match in which they were able to take the lead with a penalty that Boyé missed. Now they travel to Zorrilla, a stadium where they have not won since 2005 and against a team from Pacheta, who promoted to Elche in 2019-2020, improved and without as many complexes as at the beginning of the course.

The blanquivioletas live quietly in the middle of the table and come to this duel after losing against Osasuna in El Sadar, a defeat that cut their dynamic of two consecutive wins. With a Sergio León on a roll, the people from Valladolid will seek to delve into the wound of the team with the worst results of the five major leagues at this start.
