The Spanish skater Pau García has revalidated his title of senior figure skating world champion on the twelfth day of the World Skate Games, which are being held in Argentina, while Jhoan Sebastian ‘Chevi’ Guzmán has achieved his third gold in speed, this time in the 100m sprint.
In total, the Spanish delegation has 10 gold, 8 silver and 5 bronze medals at the World Skate Games.
‘Chevi’, a skater from FSV Vigo, confirmed that he is the best sprinter in the world by winning his third gold medal in the Argentine event with an overwhelming victory in the 100m sprint test.
Meanwhile, Pau García was proclaimed world champion for the second consecutive year after collecting 289.04 points with his short and long programs at the Pabellón América in Buenos Aires. In addition, Héctor Díez and Carla Escrich won the bronze medal and Andrea Silva finished in fourth place.
In inline hockey, the team led by Ángel Ruiz was unable to beat Italy (4-2) in the quarterfinals and will play a new duel against Argentina in search of fifth place. In roller hockey, the U-19 team led by Sergi Macià lost to the host (5-3); on Sunday it will face Portugal in search of bronze.
