MADRID, 4 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The National Police of Ukraine carried out this Thursday the evacuation of the entire population of the city of Marinka, in the Donetsk region, after the Ukrainian authorities decreed that it was dangerous to remain in the area due to the constant attacks of Russian troops.
A team of the Ukrainian National Police called ‘White Angels’ has appealed to the population of the city – which before the war had 10,000 inhabitants – to leave, also helping them to escape from the bombing, according to has detailed the body in a statement.
“Marinka is constantly under direct attack from the enemy. Not a single building survived in the city. During eight months of full-scale war, the ‘White Angels’ Police team has helped people escape from bombing. Currently, there is no civilian population left in Marinka,” says the letter released by the Ukrainian National Police.
However, the agents have urged the inhabitants of Krasnogórivka, a town near Marinka and where there are still 800 residents — where there were once more than 16,000 —, “not to wait any longer to go out and save your life and your Health”.
“In Krasnogorivka, which is being destroyed by Russian troops, there are still about 800 residents. There is no water, electricity or gas supply. Police officers are involved in the evacuation, rescuing the wounded, responding to reports of shells without exploiting and delivering humanitarian items. The ‘White Angels’ are the only emergency services that work in the city and whose help residents can count on,” said the National Police.
