MADRID, 28 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski, commemorated this Friday the 79th anniversary of the liberation of the country from the Nazi troops, assuring that Russia will “flee” from Ukraine as “all the occupiers” do, also affirming that the Ukrainians know that “the darkest night dark becomes dawn.”

“The day of the liberation of Ukraine from the Nazis on the 247th day of the war becomes a symbol: the result of our struggle is definitely the liberation of our Ukraine (…). In the future, Kherson, the Donbas , Lugansk, Crimea. Our land always becomes free and resistance becomes pride,” said the Ukrainian president in his daily speech to the Ukrainian population.

Zelensky has maintained that in these almost 80 years “the form of evil has changed” and that it “always begins in the same way”: “The invaders call themselves liberators and the Army’s invasion is ‘in self-defense'” .

In this sense, the Ukrainian head of state has highlighted that, like eight decades ago, the Ukrainian people “rise up for the defense of their native land”.

However, he has assured that foreign invasions in Ukraine always end “in the same way” and that war criminals become accused.

“Destruction becomes repair. Enemy equipment becomes museum exhibits. Grandparents’ deeds become grandchildren’s victories,” Zelensky predicted.

For this reason, he has encouraged the Ukrainian population to resist, arguing that “the second Army in the world will be smaller and smaller” and that the enemy’s losses “will be larger and larger.”

“I am sure that hostile propaganda does not work, provocations do not work, threats do not scare. Any harsh winter will not scare us. We know that the darkest night turns into dawn (…). The darkest times for we are not without light, but without will”, concluded Zelensky.
