MADRID, 25 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ukrainian authorities have warned this Tuesday that all the regions of the country have suffered new power cuts throughout the day for several hours as a result of the attacks perpetrated by the Russian forces against the country’s infrastructure.

The operator of the Ukrainian electricity network, Ukrenergo, has confirmed through its Telegram account that these are temporary cuts and has highlighted the importance of “stabilizing” the energy systems as soon as possible.

Thus, he has asked the population to “save electricity”, especially in the “peak hours”, during the morning and afternoon. In this sense, he has requested that washing machines and heaters be used only at night and has stressed the need to “turn off lights whenever it is not necessary to keep them on”.

Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has become one of the main targets of Russian attacks against the country. According to the president, Volodimir Zelenski, currently more than a third of these infrastructures have been destroyed.
