BARCELONA, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
FC Barcelona midfielder Alexia Putellas confessed on Monday that although she longs to return to play due to her serious injury, she must comply with “a few minimums” in order not to take “risks” in her recovery that she intends to avoid.
“I miss playing, but I’m doing well and the knee responds well to loads, so that’s good news. The plan is as planned, but I can’t talk about deadlines, the knee will mark them, but there are some minimums so as not to take risks , that I am very clear that I will not do it”, warned Alexia Putellas to the media before attending the II European Women’s Football Gala organized by the newspaper ‘Mundo Deportivo’ in Barcelona.
On the other hand, and after receiving his second Ballon d’Or last Monday, he insisted that “each generation will be better”. “We grew up in an environment where the trainers were not qualified and it was not professional. Now they have all this, the show will be much better,” he said.
Finally, the Catalan soccer player is also clear that for the Champions League “every year there are the same favourites”, including her team and a Real Madrid team that “is being seen to compete very well”.
His teammate Claudia Pina also appeared before the media, who stressed that “the commitment that Barça makes to women’s football is important” and that “it is important that young people rise with more force because it means that things are going better”.
The young soccer player, who avoided talking about the conflict in the women’s team, believes that they are currently experiencing “very good things” at the club. “We focus on that, on being a better team every day. We have to work every day, and we look better and better. We are getting to know each other because there are new people,” she stressed.
