MADRID, 23 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Palestinian armed group known as The Lion’s Den, a relatively new organization and mainly operating in the West Bank, has denounced this Sunday the death of one of its highest officials, Tamer Kilani, in an Israeli operation.
The group has claimed responsibility for several attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians in Nablus and had one of its main organizers in Kilani. The individual has died, according to a statement from the group collected by ‘The Times of Israel’ around 01:30 in the morning, when a sticky bomb placed on a motorcycle exploded in the historic center of this city.
In its statement, the group accuses a “collaborator of Israel” of planting the explosive and warns the Israeli authorities with a “painful response” before asking the public to attend Kilani’s funeral, which will be held this afternoon.
Also in the last few hours, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has announced the death of a 32-year-old man after being shot in the head by Israeli forces in Qalqilya, West Bank, while another 16-year-old has been seriously injured in the city of Anata, in the occupied zone of Jerusalem after being attacked by the Israeli Police.
Rabi Arafa Rabi has died as a result of the critical wounds caused by the bullets he received near the wall of a military checkpoint southeast of the city, according to a source close to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
The young man was transferred to the Darwish Nazzal Government Hospital in critical condition, where they have not been able to do anything to save his life. According to his father, Rabi would have been attacked “in cold blood” while he was on his way to work.
In the occupied Jerusalem area, Israeli forces opened fire on 16-year-old Muhammad Rajab Abu Qtaish, after which he was injured. According to WAFA, the Israeli police then proceeded to arrest the teenager’s father and his brother and raided the family home in the city of Anata.
This same medium maintains that protests were generated around the home where another young man was shot. In addition, the Israeli forces reportedly fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas.
