MADRID, 23 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The member of the Iranian Judiciary, Kazem Gharibabadi, has affirmed this Saturday that the Persian-language channels based in London, BBC Persian and Iran International, should be classified as “terrorist groups” for encouraging protest in their programming.

The magistrate has also singled out news channel employees whom he also wants to designate as “terrorist individuals” and has threatened to take legal action against both networks, according to Iran International.

“These two television networks are directing and inciting riots in Iran by promoting terrorist actions and encouraging people to destroy public and private property,” so they estimate that they are providing tools to know how to provoke conflicts and manufacture equipment for it. .

The chain collects in its information that Iran has been harassing journalists from Persian media abroad for more than ten years, which includes threats that they pointed out relatives residing in Iran and confiscating some of their properties.

The outlets targeted this Saturday are BBC Persian, Manoto TV, Iran International, Voice of America and Radio Farda. Gharibabadi has also accused the UK and Saudi Arabia of supporting Persian-language channels.
