MADRID, 22 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Thousands of protesters -15,000 according to the Police- have gathered this Saturday in London to demand the return of the United Kingdom to the EU in the National March for Reintegration.

The protesters, many from other parts of the United Kingdom, have covered the distance between Park Lane and Parliament Square and have dyed the entire area blue and yellow, the colors of the EU flag.

“Brexit could never work” or “We vote to continue” in the EU, read some of the banners. Nikki Ajibade, a 60-year-old teacher from Warwickshire, argued.

“It was not a supermajority. 52 to 48 is not a result that allows you to make such a sudden change and turn the country around. You just have to see where we are six years later,” he added.

The attendees have booed the images of prominent Brexit leaders such as Boris Johnson, Priti Patel or Nigel Farage, projected on a digital screen near Parliament.
