La Cartuja de Sevilla hosts this Thursday the ceremony of the second edition of the ‘Hall of Fame’ of Spanish basketball

Former players José Manuel Calderón, Nino Buscató, Clifford Luyk, Blanca Ares, Elisa Aguilar, Óscar Schmidt and the Spanish team that was Olympic runner-up at the Los Angeles ’84 Games will be inducted this Thursday into the Hall of Fame of the Spanish Federation of Basketball (FEB).

The FEB and the newspaper As will celebrate this Thursday the second induction ceremony into the Spanish Basketball Hall of Fame at the La Cartuja Stadium in Seville.

The 19 chosen as members of the Hall of Fame are seven male and female players, three coaches, a referee, a team, three managers, two journalists, a doctor and an institution.

The players are Clifford Luyk, Nino Buscató, José Manuel Calderón, Blanca Ares, Elisa Aguilar, Oscar Schmidt and Uliana Semenova. The coaches, Lolo Sainz, Aíto García Reneses and, posthumously, Javier Imbroda.

So will the referee Francisco Monjas. As contributors Jorge Guillén, Pedro Barthe; the deceased Ernesto Segura de Luna, Raimundo Saporta, Pilar Godia and Héctor Quiroga, and, in addition, the Junta de Andalucía. And the team, the 1984 senior men’s team.
