MADRID, 28 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Audax Renovables recorded a net profit of 9.8 million euros in the first half of 2023, a figure more than three times higher than that obtained in the same period of the previous year, when it earned 2.8 million euros, as reported by the company to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

The company doubled its gross operating profit (Ebitda) until June, exceeding 48 million euros, while its income decreased by 8% in the first six months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, to 1,219.2 million of euros, due to the fall in prices in the markets where the group operates.

Audax has highlighted that the growth in reported results is a consequence of the implementation of strategies aimed at improving margin at the expense of volume, which has focused on the small and medium-sized business segment and renewable generation.

At the end of the first semester, the group’s net financial debt stood at 337 million euros, compared to 487 million euros in June 2022, reducing it by 150 million, 31% less.

Energy production during this first semester stood at 148 gigawatt hours (GWh) without taking into account Panama, which represents an increase of 12% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Audax Renovables has highlighted that this increase is mainly due to the energy contribution of the new photovoltaic plants commissioned in Spain, where they produced 22 GWh more (51%) compared to the first half of 2022.
