Remember that Sánchez “does not have guaranteed votes”

BARCELONA, 25 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The ERC spokesperson, Raquel Sans, stated this Monday that the possible amnesty law is in the technical phase and that “the political part has already been resolved.”

At a press conference this Monday in Barcelona, ??he said that “documents are circulating” among the agents who propose the amnesty, but he has not specified which parties they circulate among or what they specify.

“There are different proposals and we are trying to address them with the maximum possible coordination, because if we all demand the same thing it makes no sense for each one to go it alone,” he explained.

Sans has taken the amnesty “for granted” and has assured that it is necessary to begin the resolution phase of the political conflict between Catalonia and the State.

The republican spokesperson regretted that this Sunday’s demonstration by the PP against the amnesty in Madrid is “the proposal that the PP has for Catalonia.”

He has criticized the Popular Party’s attempts at negotiation with Junts and has said that the “non-investiture debate” of the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will be held in Congress.

Sans recalled that although the acting President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, criticizes the PP demonstration, “he does not have the votes guaranteed and will have to work in this regard if he wants to be President of the Spanish Government.”

He has assured that Sánchez “knows very well what the conditions of ERC are” and has reiterated them: amnesty, self-determination and well-being of citizens.

He has stressed that ERC will not accept last-minute conversations and that, if Pedro Sánchez wants to be inaugurated, he has to put “fifth gear.”

Regarding the General Policy Debate (DPG) that will be held this week in the Parliament, he highlighted that his party will work to promote the Catalan language and “reverse the fiscal deficit.”

Sans has highlighted the care program for victims who have suffered sexual abuse in adulthood and “the need to respond” to their complaints.
