Smart City – the intelligent city – is a topic that’s trending with the industry, policy, and crypto-companies increasingly deal. Through the Networking and the rapid exchange of data, the life in the cities to be safer, healthier and more energy-efficient.

From the Internet of things for Smart City

The idea of the Smart City is a logical further development of IoT, the Internet of things: devices of daily life, such as a Smartphone, a fridge, a car to communicate with each other and do things that we don’t have to take care of us. It is still not everything that is technically possible, in practice, however, the Smart Home is the world is already a reality.

the Internet of things requires an Autonomous payment system, and here IOTA is positioned since the very beginning of its history. In order to enable fast and secure transactions, IOTA instead of a Blockchain and developed a network-like data structure, the so-called Tangle. Transactions are not processed linearly, such as in the case of the Bitcoin Blockchain, but in parallel. As a result, transactions can be much confirmed faster and the System is theoretically infinitely scalable.

IOTA has always cultivated intensive contacts to industry partners, in order to test its Distributed Ledger technology (DLT), for example, in Autonomous vehicles. Together with Bosch, the company is also working on various IoT projects, such as BTC-ECHO reported.
