The Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard found in the search of the home of Koldo García, who was an advisor to former Minister José Luis Ábalos, up to 23 mobile phones, 24,000 euros in cash, 9 firearms and crypto assets worth 586 euros.

This is stated in the entry and registration procedure of the UCO, which is included in the summary of the ‘Koldo case’ to which Europa Press has had access, at the home of Koldo García and Patricia Uriz located in Polop de la Marina (Alicante). .

In addition to this large number of mobile phones, the agents seized 12 hard drives, laptops, digital recorders, an iPad and several USBs, and several boxes with documents and handwritten notes.

The UCO details that in this search, which began on February 20 at 9:19 a.m., they found 24,000 euros in cash that they proceeded to deposit in the judicial deposit bank account. Furthermore, the agents state in their minutes that the crypto assets located in a Binance account were transferred to a wallet generated by the UCO itself to block the amount.

The Civil Guard states in its report that in addition to this evidence they located and seized up to 9 weapons “that were in the possession of the detained Koldo García.” These are three shotguns, a ‘Browning’ model rifle, a pistol, and several other rifles, some of which were ‘Winchester’ caliber.

The summary also includes the entry procedure into the home of Koldo García’s brother, Joseba García, also investigated, in Benidorm. It indicates that in addition to various computer effects, 5,860 euros in cash and “a tie with the old logo of the Civil Guard, with the head of an eagle,” were seized from him.
