A corporal from the General Command of Ceuta, identified with the initials B. G. P. A. and aged 43, died this Monday during an exercise in Poland, as reported by the Army in a statement.

The Army has detailed that an accident occurred during the execution of a tactical topic with live fire at the Polish Bemowo Piskie maneuver field, during the ‘Saber Strike’ exercise, integrated into the ‘Steadfast Defender 24’ maneuver. , in which various units of this body participate along with other allied countries.

The corporal was the father of two daughters and a native of Ecuador. He had joined the Army as a soldier in 2004, his current assignment being the 54th Regular Group, in Ceuta. He had the Bronze Cross for Consistency in Service and the Operation Balmis Commemorative Medal.

The Army has conveyed its condolences and joins the pain of his family and unit colleagues.
