The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, has stated that he is “horrified” by the civilian victims of the Israeli bombing of Jabalia, in Gaza.
Through the social network X, Albares has pointed out that international humanitarian law “must always be respected.”
“We ask for the unconditional release of hostages and a humanitarian truce to avoid more innocent victims. We want peace and security for everyone in the Middle East,” he indicated.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed this Tuesday the death of nearly fifty militants of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in an air attack against the town of Jabalia, including the commander of the Jabalia Central Battalion of Hamas, Ibrahim Biari, “one of the leaders” of the October 7 attacks.
Instead, Hamas-controlled Gaza authorities have reported “hundreds” of victims in the attack, which they have described as “one of the largest massacres by the occupation.”
