He claims that the attempt to end Podemos is a “wish” because they have the best ideas and represent “those who do not shut up”.

ZARAGOZA, 15 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The leader of Podemos, Ione Belarra, has proclaimed this Saturday that Podemos remains strong against those who want the “left to go back to being the way it was before”, “relegated to a corner of the board” and a “PSOE ornament without the capacity to influence politics”.

“We are not that and we are not going to be,” he launched during the central meeting of the ‘Spring Festival’ of the party, which arrives in a climate of tension with Sumar and the second vice president Yolanda Díaz.

Moreover, Belarra has asked the bases of the party to mobilize to build “hope” in the country, but not as an “artifice” or “a spring speech that does not change anything”, but with “concrete facts” and, above all, everything, with the “courage” of his training to be the “political tool of” those who do not keep quiet in the face of injustices.

During the act and surrounded by the bulk of the regional candidates of the formation to the 28M elections, Belarra has broken down that since 2015, in the first elections in which they appeared, the party has seen surveys and press headlines about a collapse of votes and support, but the reality is that they have been the force on the left that has obtained the four best results on the left in the general elections.

“They repeat like a mantra that Podemos is sinking”, he exclaimed to convey to his supporters gathered in Zaragoza that this is nothing more than the expression of a desire, the “desire to end Podemos” because the reality is that they have known how to transform the “outrage” into concrete political measures.

Likewise, he has claimed that his party has survived the “sewers”, the “judicial war” against them and the “fake news”, because they are the ones who bear the “pressure” more than anyone else, have the best proposals and become “possible the impossible”.

And an example, according to Belarra, is the head of Equality, Irene Montero, who has taken the demands of feminism further than ever and “resisted all the bare-chested attacks” by the Trans Law, of which now the entire progressive world boasts.

“Here we are, no matter how much Antonio Garamendi (CEOE), Juan Roig (Mercadona), Ana Patricia Botín (Banco Santander), Rafael del Pino (Ferrovial), the economic elites slouched without doing anything more than live from the story to the humble forehead”, he exclaimed.

The leader of Podemos has boasted of a service record, such as her insistence on promoting the cap on gas or the Housing Law, where they also had to endure alone being called “demagogues” and not meddling in technical issues, in veiled allusion to the PSOE.

During his speech, he has also directed several reproaches to the Socialists, by guaranteeing that his party is not going to abandon the Saharawi people, no matter how much the PSOE “kneels before the kingdom of Morocco”, in reference to the turn of his partner in endorsing the autonomy plan for the area proposed by Rabat.
