MADRID, 2 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Argentine coach Eduardo Coudet was dismissed this Wednesday as coach of RC Celta, after a “fruitful stage” of almost two years at the sky-blue club, according to a statement issued by the Galician entity.

“‘Chacho’ Coudet and his coaching staff are disassociating themselves from RC Celta after a fruitful stage, which began on November 12, 2020. The Argentine coach is therefore leaving the club after two years in which the team offered great performance,” the team announced.

In their statement, Celta stressed that Coudet arrived “in a delicate situation”, with the sky-blue team penultimate in the qualifying table. “That season, the team finished eighth after a spectacular comeback. Last season, RC Celta finished in eleventh position”, recalled the entity.

RC Celta wanted, “after this difficult decision”, to express its “most sincere thanks” to Coudet and his assistants for their “dedication, honesty and professionalism” since they took over the bench almost two years ago.

“They always offered a commendable attitude and did an exceptional job, without skimping on efforts and with exemplary involvement. RC Celta would also like to wish them luck and success in their new sporting stage,” the note added.

The Argentine led a total of 79 games for the sky-blue club with a balance of 28 wins, 19 draws and 32 losses. Now, he leaves Celta in sixteenth position in LaLiga Santander, with a last streak of five games without a win.
