The 13 restaurants that had it keep it

The restaurants Diseño (Barcelona) and Noor (Córdoba) have been awarded their third Michelin Star, and the 13 that already had them have kept them.

It was announced this Tuesday at the 2024 Michelin Guide Gala, held at the Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB) which manages Fira de Barcelona.

The organization has highlighted the creativity found in the dishes of the Barcelona restaurant, led by chefs Mateu Casañas, Oriol Castro and Eduard Xatruch, as well as the fact that they are “at the culinary forefront.”

In his speech, Xatruch thanked, on behalf of the three of them, the support they have received from their teams and families: “From the first day we decided to be cooks, they have supported us and made us here.”

The chef has assured that they did not expect the award with which they have been distinguished in the 2024 Michelin Guide.

He stressed that the Córdoba restaurant, headed by chef Paco Morales, is an “authentic ‘cultural project'”, which seeks to recover the historical essence of Andalusian cuisine.

Morales has shown his excitement for the award and explained that any chef “dreams of this goal.”

He has thanked the support of his parents, his partner and “all the members of the Noor team: “It has been incredible.”
