MADRID, 29 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spain has experienced a very unusual heat wave for the time of year in recent days. The end of the heat wave will foreseeably come on Sunday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), but while the arrival of a relief in temperatures is awaited, here you can see how this year’s temperatures compare with the average since 1980.

This graph, prepared by EpData from data extracted from the AEMET database, shows the evolution of the maximum temperature recorded at the Madrid Retiro station each day of 2023 compared to the average temperatures recorded on those same days since 1980.

This other graph shows the same evolution for the city of Barcelona
