MADRID, 23 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Greek center Giannis Antetokounmpo led the victory of the Milwaukee Bucks over the Houston Rockets (125-105) in the NBA this morning, a game with a Spanish duel between Serge Ibaka and Usman Garuba, while Santi Aldama’s Memphis Grizzlies fell overwhelmingly against Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic (137-96).
At the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, the Bucks signed their second win of the season in a clash dominated by the Hellenic center, who charged the team on his back with a spectacular ‘double-double’ of 44 points -17 of 21 shooting field- and 12 rebounds.
The two Spaniards present in the room were exceptional witnesses to Antetokounmpo’s great match; the Spanish-Congolese Ibaka celebrated the victory with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 1 block in almost a quarter of an hour of participation, while the manchego Garuba, who started and spent 25 minutes on the court, contributed 6 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 steals.
For their part, the Mavericks achieved their best historical victory against Memphis in a clash with only one name: Luka Doncic. The Slovenian, who scored 21 points in the first quarter, finished the duel, in which the Argentine Facundo Campazzo could not debut due to problems with his visa, with 32 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds.
In addition, Christian Wood responded from the bench with a ‘double-double’ of 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Texans. Santi Aldama, from the Canary Islands, enjoyed almost 21 minutes on the court as the starter and had 8 points and 6 rebounds.
SERGE IBAKA: 9 points, 5 rebounds and 1 block.
USMAN GARUBA: 6 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 steals.
SANTI ALDAMA: 8 points and 6 rebounds.
