MADRID, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of Sevilla FC, José Castro, has submitted his “irrevocable” resignation from his position as member of the Board of Directors of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for what he considers a lack of respect from Luis Rubiales towards the club in a few messages in a private and familiar chat.
As indicated on Monday by the Sevilla team, Castro sent a letter to Rubiales with this resignation and after having waited “a few days” before making this decision, waiting to see if the maximum federative president “publicly apologized for having shown, presumably, his desire for Sevilla to lose in some ‘Whatssap’ conversations”.
The leader of the Seville team reproaches Rubiales in his letter “that not only has he not apologized publicly, but he has not even phoned him to give explanations, for which he no longer wishes to be part of a board chaired by someone who has disrespected to Sevilla as an institution and, what is more serious, to the fans of Sevilla FC, something that as president of the club he cannot tolerate under any circumstances”.
