MADRID, 25 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of Telefónica, José María Álvarez-Pallete, will be awarded an ‘honoris causa’ doctorate by the CEU San Pablo University in Madrid within the framework of the celebration of the feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas – patron saint of universities – which will be organized by the institution on January 30, as reported in a statement.

In the same event, the professor of Nutrition José María Ordovás will also be awarded an honorary doctorate, while the professor of Financial Economics Ricardo Palomo will be in charge of the formal greeting.

The rector of the CEU San Pablo University, Rosa Visiedo, and the ‘great chancellor’ of the academic institution, Alfonso Bullón de Mendoz, will also participate.

Álvarez-Pallete and Ordovás will thus join a group of “national and international intellectuals” who have received this distinction from the CEU San Pablo University, such as the former German chancellor Helmut Kohl, the cardinal archbishop emeritus of Madrid, Antonio María Rouco Varela , or the former president of the European Council between 2009 and 2014, Herman Van Rompuy, among others.
