MADRID, 22 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema suffers muscle fatigue in the quadriceps of his left leg and will be absent for this Saturday’s LaLiga Santander match against Sevilla FC at the Santiago Bernabéu (9:00 p.m.), the white club has confirmed.
“After the tests carried out today on our player Karim Benzema by Real Madrid’s medical services, muscle fatigue has been detected in the quadriceps of his left leg,” the Madrid entity announced this Saturday.
Despite the fact that the club limited itself to ensuring that the player is “pending development”, the current Ballon d’Or will not be able to participate in the duel that Carlo Ancelotti’s men play this Saturday against the Nervion team.
Thus, he joins the absences of midfielder Dani Ceballos, injured two weeks ago in the biceps femoris, and striker Mariano Díaz, also with physical problems. In return, Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois returns to the squad after overcoming sciatica.
