Ter Stegen: “We are working so that the rival does not have the facility to score”

MADRID, 5 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The midfielder of FC Barcelona Pedri predicts a “difficult” match against Atlético de Madrid although he points to the level of the Barca team when it works well, while he seeks to improve the “scoring facet” of the Canarian player, at the same time that the goalkeeper Ter Stegen trusts in which the team continues to work behind.

“We know it’s going to be a complicated game and it’s difficult for a scenario like last year’s to be repeated, but hopefully there will be a game like this,” says the canary in an interview with Dazn, on the occasion of the meeting between the two on Sunday at 9:00 p.m., which will be offered exclusively by the sports streaming platform.

“LaLiga is a very important title for us and we are going to go all out for it”, adds Pedri who confesses his point to improve with the goal. “All the coaches I’ve had have told me that I have to improve in that facet. I know I have to. I can improve in many things: in decision-making, in reaching the area more, in working more for the team”, Explain.

Pedri also highlights Barça’s ability to perform at a high level. “When we play well and we’re physically fit, the game we play is unstoppable. It’s true that we haven’t won titles as such, but the Barça style, adapting to today’s football, may have a lot to do with titles and victories and we’ll see that soon” , He says.

On the other hand, Xavi’s team is maintaining a good defensive line, well worked according to goalkeeper Ter Stegen. “It’s something for the whole team. If everything goes against you, you as a goalkeeper also suffer. I could have been better, but now I’m in a very good moment. As a team we are working very well defensively and that is the objective, to maintain that stability”, points out the German.

“We are working hard so that the opponent does not have that facility to finish off or to score goals,” he adds, in an interview that will be broadcast during the preview of the match at the Cívitas Metropolitano. On the other hand, Ter Stegen will assess the adaptation of striker Robert Lewandowski

“It is not necessary to explain a lot to him either. What I could do, I have done. Because of the language, he is trying to integrate a lot and that helps him and all his teammates. We knew what we were going to sign and this is what he does, even better than we could have imagined”, he explains about the Pole.
