The Valencian tennis player Pedro Martínez will replace the Murcian Carlos Alcaraz in the Spanish Davis Cup team for the Finals of the competition, which will be played from November 22 to 27 at the Martín Carpena in Malaga, the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation confirmed on Monday (RFET).

“Pedro Martínez replaces Carlos Alcaraz in the final list of the Spanish MAPFRE tennis team for the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga,” the federative body reported on its official Twitter social network account.

The 25-year-old from Alzira, who is currently ranked 61st in the ATP ranking, joins Pablo Carreño from Asturias, Roberto Bautista from Castellón and Marcel Granollers from Barcelona in the team led by Sergi Bruguera. Previously, he was present in the ‘Playoff’ against Romania and in the group stage matches in September against Canada, Serbia and South Korea, in all of them playing the doubles.
