Through its ESG strategy, Teva addresses its commitment to the environment and society, enabling the company to create long-term value and continue to improve the lives of patients. Among the highlights of Teva’s 2022 ESG Progress Report are They include: • Increased access to medicines around the world. Teva launched five medicine access programs in 2022 (63% of its 2025 target), providing treatments to people who could not otherwise afford or obtain them.• Minimize the environmental impact of its operations. Teva reduced absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 24% (vs. 2019) and total Scope 3 GHG remissions by 12% (vs. 2020). In addition, at the Teva plant and logistics center in Zaragoza they carried out a “Zero Discharge” strategy thanks to which 100% of the paper, cardboard, wood, plastic and metallic materials from non-hazardous waste were recycled.• Support social projects. Teva is already celebrating one of its most outstanding social projects in 12 countries, the Humanizing Healthcare Awards, which aim to recognize the work of those institutions, public or private, that develop solidarity projects and initiatives that contribute to coping with the difficult experience of disease, creating a more pleasant and safe environment for patients and their families. This year the VIII edition of the awards will be held in Spain, awarding 3,000 euros to 11 winning entities. • Contribute to economies and health systems.
