MADRID, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The German defender of Real Madrid, Antonio Rüdiger, assured this Monday that he is “satisfied” with the performance he is giving in the Madrid team, where he is clear that he does not have to “play all the games” due to the quality and breadth of options that there are in the team.

“I’m satisfied with my performance and, looking at the World Cup, with the games I’ve played I’m in a good moment. I don’t have to play every game because we have a great team with a lot of quality. I feel good and happy, I give it a ten out of ten at this time”, expressed Rüdiger in the press conference prior to the clash against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

The centre-back acknowledged that he was “surprised at how quickly” he had adapted, a process in which he had “the help” of Toni Kroos and David Alaba. “I am very happy and as I said in my presentation, I will always give one hundred percent for this club”, he warned.

Asked about his compatriot, who could end his career when his contract ends on June 30, the international stressed that “he is a legend at Real Madrid.” “He is an accepted and respected player in the club and in the team. He is enjoying playing football and he will decide, but he knows how much it means to everyone that he continues to play. For me he made a difference in the national team and we are going to miss him in the World Cup,” he confessed.

“Vinicius is like a little brother to me, he helps me speak Spanish and we can understand each other that way. He has enormous potential, he continues to show it game by game and his perseverance helps the team and him. I hope he can win the Ballon d’Or in the future,” he added about the Brazilian winger.

In this sense, and after his appearance in 25th place on the final list of the ‘France Football’ trophy, he made it clear that Karim Benzema “deserved to win it” after having played “a fantastic season last year”. “It’s the first time my name was there in the ranking and it’s nice, but it doesn’t change anything in my head,” he said.

Finally, Rüdiger described RB Leipzig as “a rival with a lot of intensity and with a lot of intensity”. “He has many very fast players and a very strong attacker like Timo Werner, who has enormous potential and whom I know very well. The important thing is that he shows it in the World Cup, but not against us,” he said with a smile.
