The Spanish captain of the Davis Cup, Sergi Bruguera, will announce this Monday the list of players who will play the ‘Final 8’ of the Tennis World Cup in Malaga, from November 22 to 27.
Spain will once again have the privilege of hosting the Martín Carpena Sports Palace. Bruguera will give his chosen ones at a press conference at 12:30 at the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) in Barcelona.
Australia, Holland, Croatia, Spain, Italy, United States, Germany and Canada will compete for the 2022 title. The ‘Armada’, champion for the last time in Madrid in 2019, aspires to its sixth Salad Bowl, in another novel edition of the World Cup.
Bruguera’s team will face Croatia in the quarterfinals and will face the winner of the Netherlands-Australia in the semifinals. Along with the Spanish captain, the appearance this Monday in Barcelona will also include the general director of the RFET, Lorenzo Martínez, and the sports director of the RFET, Javier Soler.
