Soria contributes two deputies, historically distributed between PSOE and PP, and in the last regional ones, Soria ¡YA! burst in with three attorneys

SORIA, 1 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The political platform of Soria NOW! has announced this Thursday that it will stand for the next general elections on July 23 in what will be the “historic opportunity” to bring the voice of the province to Congress and the Senate. “For Soria, party changes have always been one more inconvenience,” they warn.

The spokesmen Fernando Arévalo and Carlos Vallejo and the attorneys Ángel Ceña and Vanessa García have valued the electoral advance so that “Soria reaches all Spaniards through the institutions.”

The already political party, something that “will facilitate the procedures” for the next elections, will decide in assembly the candidates for the general elections, “prepared people, from Soria and from Soria Now!”.

“The reason is the same as in the regional ones, to bring the voice of Soria and the Sorianos to the institutions. We have been in the streets for 21 years demanding and some things were achieved, but what they now want to fight for was ignored. inside”, Arévalo pointed out.

The spokesman stressed that it is a “unique opportunity for Soria to see itself represented in Congress and the Senate” since “there are trains that only pass once and this is one of them.”

Currently, the Soria constituency contributes two deputies to Congress, who have historically been distributed between PSOE and PP, while in the regional elections it adds a total of five attorneys to the Castilla y León Parliament, which have also been distributed between socialists and ‘popular’.

However, in the last regional elections of 2022, Soria NOW! burst into an election being the force with the most votes in this province and getting three attorneys, something that could also cause it to happen on the general map, scratching a deputy who has historically belonged to PSOE and PP.

Fernando Arévalo has recognized that they are “calm” and that they have “an experience acquired from the autonomous communities” when they formed a candidacy with less time, and it was done “well, with the support of society.”

“We are prepared because we have been working on it for months, not only in the possible presentation to the elections but in a program with the historical demands of Soria, with some new ones designed for Soria and the people of Soria”, the spokesperson has qualified.

Regarding the useful vote to which parties such as the PP or PSOE appeal, he has asked them to “meditate” since “the record” of both parties” shows that “they have not been useful in policies such as depopulation or infrastructure.”

As for possible agreements, it will not be “a blank check” and “a complete program” will go ahead with deadlines to be met and set by the Soriano party.

Arévalo has pointed out that if the parties of Empty Spain had representation, they would form a parliamentary group to “have more strength.”

Arévalo, on the other hand, has asked that a possible change in the Government of Spain “does not mean delays in the projects” for Soria or that “they come to nothing” as the National Center of Photography as one of the examples. “For Soria, party changes have always been one more inconvenience,” he lamented.

Carlos Vallejo has referred to the attack by other parties that “have taken it as a mantra” that they not run in the municipal elections. “We have already given the explanations, we are working on the provincial project, which is to present ourselves to Congress and the Senate,” the spokesman said.

Thus, he recalled that there have been towns in Soria where they have not voted when presenting PP and PSOE paratroopers, for which he has asked “to work to present themselves, not because they have charges” as well as “to be attached to the land and talk to people”.

“They accused us of wanting positions and really the traditional parties appear in many towns with the sole objective of going to the Provincial Council, we have a serious project that we want to work without haste and be useful and our only label is to fight for the province of Soria, We have seen that the traditional parties have not been useful, when something has to be paralyzed first it is Soria”, lamented Vallejo.

As for the forecasts for July 23, they go through maintaining the results of the regional elections in February 2023 and “increasing support” which would be three of the four senators (the maximum allowed for each party) and the doubt in regarding the number of the two deputies that represent Soria.

“We have nothing and we are going to fight for the maximum”, has pointed out the attorney Ángel Ceña.
