The Spanish women’s soccer team will find out this Saturday their rivals in next year’s World Cup with the draw for the group stage to be held at the Aotea Center in Auckland.

At 8:30 a.m. on the Iberian Peninsula, a draw will begin in which Spain, number six in the FIFA ranking, will start in pot 1 of the seeded teams. The World Cup will have 32 teams for the first time and will be played between July 20 and August 20 next year.

On behalf of Spain, the coach Jorge Vilda will be in the draw. Around 800 guests are also expected to attend, including FIFA Secretary General Jacinda Ardern; the Prime Minister of Aotearoa New Zealand; and Anika Wells, Australia’s Minister for Sport.
