Madrid, August 31, 2023.- Grupo Gestilar maintains its commitment to sailing, renewing for another year as sponsor of the Gestilar Ladies Cup, the great women’s water sports event to which it lends its name and which this year will develop its twenty-seventh edition. The women’s regatta is part of the sports program set up for the 38th Prince of Asturias Trophy, one of the most important sailing events nationwide, which will take place on September 1, 2 and 3 in the waters of the Bay of Baiona and the Vigo estuary under the organization of the Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona and the Naval Regatta Commission of the Naval Military School of Marín, in collaboration with the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation and the Galician Sailing Federation. The Terras Gauda National Sailing Awards will also be awarded as part of the competition.
This is the fourth year that Gestilar has sponsored the Ladies Cup regatta, highlighting the visibility of women in a sport like sailing, traditionally carried out by men, and with which the promoter shares the values ??it represents such as sustainability, effort, sacrifice, sportsmanship or overcoming. On Friday, September 1, in the morning, the official family photo will be taken with all the participants in the Gestilar Ladies Cup. That same day, at 3:30 p.m., the first regatta will begin. In the following days, that is, on September 2 and 3, there will be two more regattas. The event will end on Sunday afternoon with the awards ceremony. 6 crews of 6 sailors each participate in the competition, that is, a total of 36 participants.
