The Spanish Society of Ocular and Orbital Plastic Surgery (SECPOO) celebrates its XXXII annual Congress on June 7, 8 and 9 at the Pirámide de Arona, in the south of Tenerife, where more than 400 oculoplastic ophthalmologists meet

Under the motto ‘Connected by the Look’, Tenerife is the venue of the prestigious XXXII Congress of the Spanish Society of Ocular and Orbital Plastic Surgery (SECPOO). The event, which is held from June 7 to 9 and brings together more than 400 national and international oculoplastic ophthalmologists, promises to be an unparalleled forum for learning and debate among oculoplasty professionals, a subspecialty within Ophthalmology that takes care of all problems related to the periocular facial structures: eyelids, orbit and lacrimal ducts. The opening ceremony of the congress was attended by Dr. Gorka Martínez Grau, president of SECPOO; Dr. José Luis Delgado Miranda, president of the Local Organizing Committee; D. Fernando Clavijo Batlle, Secretary General of the Canary Islands Coalition; Dr. Humberto Carreras Díaz, president of the Canarian Society of Ophthalmology; and Dr. Rodrigo Martín Hernández, president of the Tenerife College of Physicians.Scientific program The Congress has three round tables: one on Complicated Cases of Ocular Aesthetics, another on Orbital Inflammation and another on Algorithms in Microsurgery of the Orbit. In addition, for the first time in its history, it will have a Canarian Oculoplasty Table, where renowned oculoplastic specialists from the Islands will address certain issues related to this subspecialty. The program covers a wide range of pathologies. In it, the courses ‘Periocular Comprehensive Aesthetic Treatment’ and ‘Multidisciplinary Surgical Approach’ stand out. Role of Oculoplastic’. The SECPOO Board has decided that this year, the international speakers will be two prestigious figures of world oculoplasty: Dr. Martín Devoto (from Argentina) and Dr. Altug Cetinkaya (from Turkey). Breakfast with Experts On Thursday morning, the Breakfasts with Experts took place, a series of meetings in which five specialists shared their experiences and knowledge on a specific topic in a relaxed and relaxed atmosphere.
