MADRID, 2 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The formation of a DANA on the Peninsula will put all the autonomous communities of Spain on yellow or orange warning this Saturday, with the exception of the Canary Islands, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

Specifically, in Andalusia, Almería will be at risk due to rains and storms, as will Huesca, Teruel and Zaragoza, in Aragón; Asturias, Cantabria, Madrid, Murcia or the City of Melilla.

In addition, the Balearic Islands will be in orange warning due to rain and storms; and Burgos and Soria in Castilla y León, where Ávila and Segovia will also be on yellow notice for the same reason.

In Castilla-La Mancha, both rains and storms will have a yellow warning in the provinces of Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara and Toledo; and, in Catalonia, Barcelona and Tarragona have an orange notice and Lérida have a yellow notice.

This Saturday the Extremaduran provinces of Cáceres and Badajoz will also be at risk; and the rains will put Lugo and Orense at risk in Galicia.

Navarra and La Rioja will also be at significant risk due to rain and storms, as well as Álava, Guipúzcoa and Vizcaya, in the Basque Country, and Castellón and Valencia in the Valencian Community, where the province of Alicante will be at risk due to both phenomena.

This Saturday the formation of an isolated depression at high levels over the west of the Peninsula will mark a situation of instability, with a predominance of cloudy or overcast skies and abundant rainfall with storms, which will occur practically everywhere.

It is expected that these will be more intense and abundant in the northeastern half of the peninsula and central areas. They can become strong and/or persistent, with greater probability, in a wide environment from the Basque Country and Navarra, passing through Aragon, east of the North plateau and north of the South plateau, to Catalonia and the Valencian Community as well as, to the end, in Melilla, the southeast coast and the west of the Balearic Islands.

Due to the uncertainty of the situation, the AEMET does not identify these areas more accurately, although it expects them to be less intense in Andalusia and the extreme west of the peninsula. In the Canary Islands there will be cloudy intervals.

Haze is not ruled out in the Balearic Islands and this peninsular, so the rainfall could be accompanied by mud and morning fog banks are expected in inland areas of the northern and eastern thirds of the peninsula.

The minimum temperatures will increase in the extreme north and will drop in the center and south, as well as in the west of the Balearic Islands, without major changes in the rest. The maximums will have a general decrease in the Peninsula, which will reach notable in large inland areas. Without major changes in the islands and western Galicia.

The wind will blow from the northeast rolling to the northwest in the Canary Islands; northeast in the Bay of Biscay and, with strong intervals at the end, in Galicia; south and west components in Andalucía and Estrecho, variables in Alborán; and southern and eastern components in the rest.
