BARCELONA, 1 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Board of Parliament has agreed this Thursday afternoon to withdraw the seat of the suspended president of the Chamber, Laura Borràs, in compliance with the order of the Central Electoral Board (JEC) after her conviction for prevarication and document falsification, which is not firm.

This has been explained by parliamentary sources after the Supreme Court (TS) has dismissed the request to suspend in a precautionary manner the decision of the JEC, which implies her definitive dismissal as a deputy and as president of the Parliament.

The same Bureau has convened a plenary session for Friday, June 9 at 12 noon to choose the replacement for the Presidency.
