BARCELONA, 12 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The three magistrates of the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) of the control commission of popular legislative initiatives (ILP) of the Parliament have presented their resignation.

The resignation comes after in February the Bureau of the Parliament admitted to processing an ILP of Catalan Solidarity for Independence, in which it asks that the Parliament declare the independence of Catalonia.

This Tuesday, the Parliament Board received the document informing them of the resignation of the three judges.

The judges who have resigned are the president of the commission and magistrate of the Contentious-Administrative Chamber, Francisco José Sospedra; the judge of the same court Xavier Bonet, and the judge of the Social Court of the TSJC Amparo Illán.

Now the Chamber has asked the TSJC to appoint three other members to the commission, which is in charge of ILP procedures.
