MADRID, 9 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The former councilor and MEP of Junts Toni Comín has predicted that there will be an amnesty law “without a doubt”, because “the red lines” that his party and the PSOE have “are compatible. Therefore, he has delved into the need for both parties Look for “the formula” to match your positions.
“There will be an amnesty law without a doubt,” Comín proclaimed in an interview in Cuatro, reported by Europa Press, in which he showed his conviction that the red line “of the government parties, which is the constitutionality of the law”, and that the Junts limit, “which is to cover everyone”, are “compatible”.
The Junts MEP has argued that they carried out “a very rigorous, very in-depth study” on the limits of the legality and constitutionality of the amnesty. “We are so convinced of the compatibility of this text with European law (…) that we are not the least bit worried about damaging issues arising,” he added.
“Will there be judges who will present preliminary questions? Yes. That these preliminary questions will suspend those procedures? Yes. That they will have to lift the precautionary measures linked to those procedures? Also. But in the end, the last word will be the Court of Luxembourg and we have absolute peace of mind because we know that it is perfect,” he continued.
Asked what the specific formula is for the red lines of PSOE and Junts to be compatible – given that the Government has already announced that there will be no changes to the rule and that it will not accept amendments – Comín has limited himself to saying that ” the appropriate formula will have to be found” and that “if I knew it and were authorized to explain it” I would have already announced it.
