VITORIA, 22 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, could call the next Basque regional elections in a public appearance that will be held this afternoon at the Lehendakaritza headquarters after the Government Council.

After the Lehendakari’s meeting with his Government was suspended last Tuesday due to the critical condition of his mother, who died that afternoon, the Basque Government decided to call the meeting for today.

The Government Council will take place at 5:00 p.m. this afternoon. Later, at 6:30 p.m., the Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, will appear before the media at the Lehendakaritza headquarters, where it is possible that he will announce the date of the next elections, which are scheduled for April.
