Professional Coin Grading Service produces large holders that are large enough to hold coins from treasure. GreatCollections offered an 1857 S Coronet gold $20 double eagle, Spiked Shield variety. It was graded Mint State 64 and came with a green Certified Acceptance Corp. sticker. The slab included gold dust from the treasure, and a label from Bob Evans, the chief scientist of the recovery operation, which certifies that the coin, and the gold dust, were recovered from the SS Central America.
It was sold on July 25th for $10,968.85
