MADRID, 16 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has denied today that he is going to carry out a government crisis at the turn of the summer as has been published in some reports and has accused the media of “intoxicating”. In this sense, he has affirmed that he comes across news that he has not even thought about.

This was stated during an appearance before the media on his tenth visit to the island of La Palma: “Sometimes I find news in the media that I have not even thought about”, exclaimed the visibly upset Chief Executive.

He then called for “speculation” not to be published and wanted to make it clear that “making any government crisis” is not part of his plans. In his opinion, the information that is published is for him to later “respond and say that there is indeed no government crisis and an image is transferred that this is not a stable government.”

However, he wanted to make it clear that his Government “is stable” and will reach the end of the Legislature. “I am extraordinarily proud of the work that the ministers and ministers do”, he has confessed before emphasizing that “it is one thing to inform and another to intoxicate”.

Thus, he insisted: “poisonings, of course, have nothing to do with what I think and how we are going to act in this semester, which I think is important.”

And the important thing, according to Pedro Sánchez, is to strengthen economic recovery, growth, job creation. That is to say, improve the quality of life of citizens, fight against inflation, overcome covid and face the daily realities that Spaniards have “beyond speculation that has nothing to do with truthful information, but with intoxications” .
