Since September last year, DOGE and SHIB supporters have waited for AMC Theatres’ acceptance of the two meme cryptocurrency memes.

AMC customers can now pay with Shiba Inu and Dogecoin

AMC Theatres accepts payment in DOGE (Dogecoin) and SHIB (Shiba Inu) cryptocurrencies. AMC Entertainment (NYSE : AMC), also known as AMC Theatres is the largest movie theatre company in the U.S. and Europe. It operates around 950 theaters worldwide and 10500 screens.

Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Theatres announced Thursday that amctheatres.com accepts DOGE/SHIB online payments. Bitpay, which handles crypto payments for AMC Theatres, was also mentioned by the CEO.

Bitcoin.com News visited AMC Theatres’ website and discovered that Bitpay was now available as a payment option. AMC Theatres has now accepted Bitpay as a payment option. This includes bitcoin (BTC), bitcoin Cash (BCH), and litecoins (LTC), as well as ether (ETH).

Aron previously stated that AMC Theatres accepts four cryptocurrency: bitcoin, bitcoin cash and litecoin. Customers could only pay for those cryptocurrencies using their Paypal accounts.

Since he ran a Twitter poll about dogecoin and another about shiba Inu in the next month, the CEO has promised that AMC Theatres would accept DOGE payments and SHIB payments. Aron claimed that Bitpay had convinced him to support SHIB in November 2013. The crypto payment service provider started supporting Shiba Inu in November.

Aron also stated in February that crypto payments will be available on the company’s Mobile App by April 16th or a few days before.
