SANTANDER, 2 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Superior Court of Justice of Cantabria has sentenced the head of the Contentious-Administrative Court number 2 of Santander, Luis Acayro Sánchez, to five years of disqualification for a crime of judicial prevarication for which he was tried two weeks ago, for issuing resolutions to the detriment of a lawyer, he filed a lawsuit against him, together with the Bar Association of the autonomous community.
In addition, the Civil and Criminal Chamber of the TSJC imposes on the magistrate a fine of 2,700 euros and to compensate the affected lawyer with 5,000 euros, according to the sentence issued last Monday and notified this Wednesday, to which Europa Press has had access.
The ruling is not final, since it admits an appeal against the Supreme Court. The Prosecutor’s Office of Cantabria and the collegiate entity demanded 15 years and one day of special disqualification for the magistrate for continued judicial prevarication, and the defense was interested in free acquittal.
