An armed man who has not yet been identified has killed three men in the Afghan province of Faryab (in the north of the country), two of them were miners and the third was a member of the Taliban, according to the authorities.

The attack took place on Friday night in a salt mine in the city of Andkhoi, in the province of Faryab, as reported by the director of the Department of Information and Culture, Shamsuddin Mohammadi, to dpa.

After the event, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Since the Taliban’s return to power last year, many armed resistance groups have formed against these hardliners. However, these groups have not achieved significant achievements.

Instead, Islamic State attacks on both civilians and members of the Taliban security forces have become frequent.

At least 53 students, most of them young women, were killed and more than a hundred others wounded in a suicide attack inside a Kabul education center a month ago.
