MADRID, 25 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least five people have been injured this Tuesday due to an explosion registered next to the headquarters of the ZaTV television network in the city of Melitopol, which is in Zaporizhia under Russian control, according to local authorities.

Thus, they have confirmed that these five people have minor injuries and have indicated that among them are workers of the group and other civilians, while they have clarified that there are no soldiers in the area.

For his part, Alexander Malkevich, in charge of supervising the company’s work, has indicated in a message broadcast through the chain’s Telegram channel that the explosion took place when the chain’s workers were on their way to the building. “They blew up a vehicle with explosives near the building. (…) There has been significant damage to the property of the media outlet, including a studio,” he said.

Members of the emergency service have warned that almost all the windows of the building have been damaged, as well as some of the offices. In this sense, they have pointed out that preliminary information points to a “terrorist attack”.
