MADRID, 29 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least four people have died and two have been injured in an attack in which a person blew himself up with an explosive belt in a house in the Syrian province of Daraa, in the southwest of the country.

The attack, which has been claimed by the Islamic State, took place while a meeting was being held at the home in which the former leader of the Free Syrian Army (ELS) Ghassan Akram Abazid participated, according to the Sham FM station.

“A suicide bomber has detonated an explosive device in a house in Daraa, killing four people,” the head of the local health department told the aforementioned outlet.

Since 2011, the country has been facing a warlike conflict in which the country’s Armed Forces face armed groups such as the Free Syrian Army and terrorist organizations such as the Islamic State.
